STANBIC BANK’S CEO TOPS AUGUST 2025 BANK CEO’s VISIBILTY

Stanbic Bank’s Kwamina Asomaning leads coverage, followed by GCB’s Farihan Alhassan

The visibility of Ghana’s commercial bank CEOs remained highly competitive in August 2025, with new data showing strong media presence across the sector.

According to an analysis of media coverage, Kwamina Asomaning of Stanbic Bank topped the chart with the highest number of mentions, followed closely by Farhat Alhassan of GCB Bank. Their leadership positions reflect the strategic visibility of their institutions in shaping conversations around finance, banking innovation, and economic resilience.

In third place was Julian Ofori of Fidelity Bank, followed by Victor Yaw Asante of First Bank Ghana, while Edward Nartey Botchway of Absa Ghana rounded out the top five.

Other CEOs making notable appearances included Edward Ata Sarpong (ADB), Bernard Appiah Gyebi (Prudential Bank), Benjamin Dzoboku (Universal Merchant Bank), and Henry Onwuzurigbo (Zenith Bank). Lower down the ranking but still visible were Noami Wolali Ikweley (Consolidated Bank Ghana), Dr. Doli Wura Zakaria (NIB), and Olumide Olatunji (Access Bank).

In total, 12 bank CEOs were highlighted in the analysis, which measured media engagement across online platforms during the month of August.

Industry analysts note that increased visibility not only strengthens brand presence but also positions bank leaders as influential voices in Ghana’s evolving financial landscape.

As competition among financial institutions intensifies, the ability of CEOs to remain visible in media narratives is expected to play an even greater role in shaping customer trust, investor confidence, and sector leadership.
